CBD is becoming increasingly popular after its curb properties were discovered. A 2018 report published in the journal Neuroscience found that CBD/CBD may help reduce the frequency of seizures in people with epilepsy.
This study was a clinical trial involving people with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, a particularly severe type of epilepsy. Participants who received the 20mg dose of CBD saw a 41.9% reduction in their “cramps on fall” score, while those who received the 10mg dose of CBD saw a 37.2% decrease.
Participants who took a placebo saw a 17.2 percent reduction in seizures. Guttate seizures are seizures that can cause extreme loss of muscle control and balance. While there have been several other studies on the effects of CBD on epileptic seizures, this is the first to offer specific dosage recommendations.
