One of the problems with using CBD is that there are many CBD products available. Gill says patients should choose the method of consumption that works best for them, which can usually be determined experimentally. She says: “When patients use CBD on a daily basis, I usually recommend that they buy products that do not contain excess sugar, dyes, or other additives. CBD oil can be a great choice.” Just remember to find out the source of your CBD product before purchasing.
According to Harvard Health Publishing, CBD is primarily classified as a dietary supplement and not a drug. The website explains: “The FDA does not currently regulate the safety and purity of dietary supplements. Thus, you cannot know for sure that the product you are buying contains the active ingredients at the dosage indicated on the label. In addition, the product may contain other ingredients and unknown elements.
Gill adds: “Buying a high quality CBD product is important because CBD is not regulated, which means there are many contaminated products on the market and some may be potentially harmful. There are also many products that don’t even contain the levels of CBD listed on the label. Many companies only test for potency, but I recommend that patients choose companies that do full panel testing that checks for all possible contaminants.” For example, CBD oil from Kanapteka is the only legal oil in Ukraine tested by state laboratories.
