CBD (CBD, Cannabidiol) and nicotine addiction.

CBD Oil info

The role of the endocannabinoid system in the treatment of nicotine addiction is confirmed more and more. After conducting pilot tests (randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled), it is possible to evaluate the effectiveness of cannabidol (CBD) in smokers who wanted to quit. The 24 smokers were randomly divided into those given placebo inhalations and those given CBD inhalations for 1 week.

The subjects were given instructions on how to use the inhalers when they felt like smoking. After one week, the placebo group showed no change in the number of cigarettes they smoked. In the CBD group, the number of cigarettes smoked was reduced by 40%.

These preliminary data are another argument in the strong evidence base for the use of CBD, including CBD can potentially be used in the treatment of nicotine addiction. The test results require further study.
